Wanton Mee

The wanton mee is a favourite among many in Singapore. It has created a chain of franchises, the most notable being Pontian Wanton Mee.

Personally the franchise is just a hype, not the chest-thumping kind that it is made out to be. But the original in Pontian itself is better, with fans driving to the town.

Alexandra Road Wanton Mee

There is a stall in a kopitiam along Alexandra Road, opposite Queensway Shopping Centre, its taste as close as it can get to being authentic. But parking seem to be problematic as always the case.

In the same area there is a stall in another kopitiam where there is rarely a day during peak hour without a queue to buy ang koo kway and soon kway. The products are made on the spot, as fresh as it can get.
