Pronounced as Suri-nahm the country has a land area of 156,000 sq km and with population of half a million.



That is 223 times the size of Singapore which has 5 million people.



The guilder was the national currency until 1 January 2004 when it was replaced by the dollar (SRD). SGD1.00 equal SRD2.60.
