Mothers are the pillars of our society so say the Africans.

The Malawian proverb even declares that “Mother is God number two”

Necessity is the Mother of inventions, so say Plato the Greek philosopher.

Failure is the Mother of Success goes another chinese proverb.

In 1990 Saddam Hussein declared the "Mother of all Battles"

The main circuit board in the PC is widely called the motherboard.

Many countries call their homeland Motherland, well except Germany which has traditionally been called the Fatherland.

When the alien spacecraft comes a calling, it is called an alien Mothership.

Blood Brotherhood

Sworn blood brotherhood is associated with the secret societies during the Manchu rule.

It binds non related friends to honour the brotherhood grouping.

Eye Twitching

An old Chinese saying “the twitching of the left eyelid indicates the coming of good fortune; while the right one is considered inauspicious".

Scientists referred eye twitching as eye muscle spasm which attributed to a eye problem known as blepharospasm.

The condition is actually caused by uncontrollable contractions of the muscles around the eyelids under certain conditions such as stress, air pollution, strained eyes or fatigue.

Sometimes people experience twitching under the eye; others experience it in the upper eyelid.

Doctors have assured that minor eye twitches usually do not worsen. A mild eye twitch will usually go away on its own. Just cut down on stress and get plenty of rest.
